In the magnificent Parque D. Carlos I, in the center of the city, you can discover a romantic garden created by an illustrious Caldense, the architect Rodrigo Berquó, responsible for revitalizing the park and creating an artificial lake and tree-lined avenues. Considered one of the richest parks in biodiversity in the country. Inside the Park, you can visit one of the notable museum spaces in the city, the José Malhoa Museum, which conserves an important collection of works by the famous painter who was also born here. This museum is housed in what was, in the 1940s, the first building created from scratch with the purpose of housing a museum in Portugal.

The connection between Caldas da Rainha and art, and its rich legacy for the latter, can be found in other spaces around the Park, a short walk away, the Arts Center and the Cycling Museum, which house an expressive and diverse collection. , in addition to providing spaces for temporary exhibitions.
